Job summary

Pareto FM in London is seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at a dedicated client site in Norton Folgate, London. This is a static, site-based role delivering PPM and reactive maintenance across HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs and pumps.

You'll work with the client and wider facilities team to keep systems running safely, efficiently and reliably, including monitoring the Building Management System (BMS) and water treatment per ACOP L8.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications.
• Good understanding of mechanical building services and plant.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs and pumps.
• ACOP L8 awareness and water hygiene understanding.
• Ability to investigate faults and resolve mechanical maintenance issues.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• Good communication and ability to work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services and plant.
• Maintaining, servicing and fault-finding on HVAC equipment, AHUs, FCUs and pumps and related systems.
• Monitoring and supporting the operation of the Building Management System (BMS).
• Supporting monitoring and operation of fire alarm systems where appropriate.
• Carrying out water treatment activities in accordance with ACOP L8 requirements.
• Investigating faults and completing repairs within agreed service levels.
• Identifying hazards, defects and outstanding maintenance requirements.
• Supporting specialist subcontractors and supervising their activities when required.
• Maintaining safe, tidy and well-organised plant rooms and engineering areas.
• Working closely with the client and landlord team to maintain positive working relationships.
• Responding professionally to urgent maintenance issues within a demanding building environment.
