Job summary

Pareto FM is seeking a Building Services Engineer to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and building services at a prestigious client site in South West London. You will work as part of a on-site engineering team, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring systems remain compliant and high performing.

You will coordinate with the client, complete inspections, and support minor works and projects as required.

Qualifications

• Experience within Building Services or Facilities Management.
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
• Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working within occupied commercial buildings.
• Good understanding of statutory compliance.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements and the site maintenance programme.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Maintain the safe and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Ensure critical plant and infrastructure remain fully operational through routine inspections and monitoring.
• Complete all work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards and Pareto FM procedures.
• Accurately record all maintenance activities using the CAFM system.
• Escalate plant failures, operational risks and compliance concerns appropriately.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, energy reduction and asset optimisation.
• Support minor works, project activities and planned shutdowns and events where required.
