Job summary

Paretofm is recruiting a Mechanical Building Services Engineer for a static site in Norton Folgate, London. The role involves comprehensive maintenance across HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs, and pumps, with routine PPM and reactive repairs.

You will liaise with the client, subcontractors and the facilities team to ensure safe, efficient operation. Responsibilities include BMS monitoring, water hygiene in accordance with ACOP L8, and supporting specialist teams.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining mechanical building services in commercial or FM environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, AHUs, FCUs, and pumps.
• ACOP L8 awareness and water hygiene understanding.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform timely repairs.
• Customer-focused approach with good client communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across mechanical building services and plant.
• Service and fault-find HVAC equipment, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and associated systems.
• Monitor and support operation of the Building Management System (BMS).
• Assist with fire alarm system monitoring where appropriate.
• Perform water treatment tasks in line with ACOP L8 requirements.
• Investigate faults and complete repairs within service levels.
• Identify hazards and report maintenance needs to prevent failures.
• Supervise subcontractors when required and maintain safe, tidy plant rooms.
