Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a hands-on, on-site Security Officer for a further education and public sector site in the West Midlands. The role is permanent and mid-level, focusing on safeguarding staff, learners and visitors while supporting daily operations.

Key duties include access control, patrols, incident response and liaising with on-site personnel. An SIA licence and enhanced DBS check are required.

You’ll join a further education provider in the West Midlands, helping to keep the site safe, secure and welcoming for staff, learners and visitors. This is a hands‑on, on‑site role supporting the day‑to‑day running and security of the premises.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and maintaining site security, including access control and keyholding duties.
• Carrying out regular site checks and patrols, identifying and reporting any issues.
• Responding promptly to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.

What We're Looking For
