Job summary

Kings Security in Northampton is seeking a Site Security Supervisor to oversee on-site security operations and act as the interface between the client and the security provider. The role focuses on delivering high standards of safety, policy compliance and operational efficiency.

You will lead security teams, ensure health and safety procedures are followed, and coordinate with contract management to plan daily activities. A strong communications skillset and SIA licensure are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence and current security credentials.
• Excellent communication and formal English proficiency.
• Proven experience managing security operations on client sites.
• Ability to develop staff and enforce health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operational Management: plan and manage site security operations to ensure smooth delivery.
• Health and Safety Compliance: update risk assessments and ensure policy compliance.
• Security Assessments and Equipment: ensure uniforms and PPE are available and maintained.
• Site Instructions and Standards: keep site instructions current and compliant.
• Staff Recruitment and Development: recruit, train and motivate on-site staff.
• Emergency Preparedness: implement plans and conduct drills.
• Administrative Duties: manage attendance, incidents, reports and rotas.
• Investigations and Compliance: handle disciplinary processes and safety improvements.
• Client and Management Liaison: maintain regular contact with management and clients.
• Miscellaneous: respond to reasonable management requests to improve security operations.

Summary:

The primary purpose of the role is to serve as a crucial andeffective interface between the client and the Security Company,ensuring the seamless execution of all security operations. TheSecurity Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a high standard ofsafety and security by implementing Company Policies and Procedures atall times

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Operational Management: Collaborate with the contract managerto plan, organize, and manage site operational activities to ensuresmooth and efficient security operations.
  
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure Health and Safety Riskassessments are relevant and updated for each site at all times.Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Quality Policies,completing and submitting all necessary documentation and reports promptly.
  
• Security Assessments and Equipment: Assist in the preparationand regular updating of site security assessments. Ensure that sitepersonnel are equipped with appropriate uniforms and Personal SafetyEquipment, identifying and addressing any shortfalls immediately.Ensure that site-specific security equipment is available andmaintained in good working order at all times.
  
• Site Instructions and Standards: Review and update siteassignment instructions to ensure they are current and relevant.Monitor and evaluate security standards for each site, ensuring theymeet or exceed client and company expectations.
  
• Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, developand motivate on-site security staff, ensuring they are well-preparedto perform your duties.
• Emergency Preparedness: Ensure site-specific staff are awareof and comply with the client's evacuation, fire, bomb scare, andother emergency procedures. Develop and implement emergency responseplans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness.
  
• Administrative Duties: Assist in the administration of thecontract, including maintaining staff attendance records, managingemployee relations, and handling accident reporting, grievances, anddisciplinary procedures. Prepare duty rosters well in advance andensure staff receive early notification of their scheduled duties.Approve and sign off proposed rotas and identify excessive working practices.
  
• Investigations and Compliance: Instigate and investigatealleged disciplinary offenses in accordance with company policies.Identify and develop safer and more efficient working practices.Attend training courses and meetings as requested.
  
• Client and Management Liaison: Maintain regular contact withyour line manager, bringing to their attention areas for additionalbusiness with existing or potential clients. Ensure all files arecurrent and up to date.
  
• Miscellaneous: Respond to any other reasonable requests frommanagement, ensuring the overall effectiveness and efficiency ofsecurity operations.
