Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver Welsh Water infrastructure projects from award through to completion. You will drive programme performance, manage budgets and lead site teams to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance across multiple plants and pumping stations.

Requirements include a civil engineering degree or NVQ Level 6+, CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, and water sector experience with major clients.

Qualificações

• Civil engineering/ construction management degree or NVQ Level 6+.
• Chartered status or working toward it is desirable.
• Evidence of post-graduation training in contracts, formwork, H&S, and related areas.
• Proven experience on major projects for water/energy clients.

Responsabilidades

• Report to Contracts Manager or Project Manager on budget and progress.
• Ensure safe systems of work and policy compliance.
• Enforce QA and environmental systems within the division.
• Manage projects/contracts and communicate progress at all levels.

My client is a Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor. They are presently delivering vital improvement works on the Welsh Water Framework and are seeking reinforcements to deliver the works.

The framework which is set to run for at least the next 5+ years will focus on both clean and waste water projects and could involve work to new or existing treatment plants, pumping stations and much more.

The Opportunity

You will be managing projects within the Infrastructure Business Unit in the Water streams from contract award through to completion - achieving acceptable financial outcomes whilst adhering to the quality, safety and environmental policies. You will report to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager depending on the value and complexity of project and personal experience/ability.

What you will be doing

• Resource allocation and management of Site staff.
• Reporting to the senior Manager on Department budget control procedures for contracts and progress against programme.
• Ensuring safe systems of work and the Company Safety Policy are practiced.
• Enforcement and monitoring of the Division's Quality Assurance and Environmental systems.
• Management of projects/contracts.
• Communication at all levels regarding progress of projects.
• Line management/supervision for Sub Agents & General Foreman.
• Indirectly supervise Site Engineer, Foreman and Gangers.

Requirements

• Essential: Civil Engineering/Construction management degree or NVQ Level 6+ in a relevant subject matter.
• Desirable: Chartered status or approaching.
• Evidence of relevant post-graduation practical training e.g., attendance on courses for Form of Contracts, Formwork/Falsework Appreciation, Concrete Technology, H & S Management etc.
• Possesses proven experience on challenging and diverse projects with major clients e.g., LUL, HA, Water Companies, Petro/Chem.
• Proven experience from engineering background demonstrating progress to Site Agent through career development with both theoretical and practical experience.
• Site qualifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (5 day), First Aid at Work (4 day), National Water Hygiene card
