Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Agent for civil engineering and public realm projects in the North East. You will take ownership of site delivery, manage site teams and subcontractors, and ensure works are completed safely, on time and to programme.

This permanent, salaried role covers paving, kerbing, cycleways and related infrastructure, with projects across the North East. The ideal candidate will have a strong civils background, excellent planning and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent or similar civil site role.
• Background in highways/public realm or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering paving, kerbing, cycleways or footpaths.
• Able to manage site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, programming, and safety.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, plant and resources.
• Planning and monitoring site activities to ensure works are delivered to programme.
• Ensuring construction works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Monitoring progress, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
• Liaising with Project Managers, clients and other key stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
• Supporting commercial and contractual requirements throughout project delivery.

Site Agent - Civils / Public Realm

Location: North East England

Salary: Up to £62,000 + Car Allowance

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently looking to speak with an experienced Site Agent to join an established civil engineering contractor on a permanent, salaried basis.

The role will involve taking responsibility for the delivery of a range of civil engineering and public realm projects across the North East, including active travel schemes, cycleways, paving, kerbing, footpaths and associated infrastructure works.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Agent with a strong civils background who can take ownership of site delivery, manage site teams and subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and commercial expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Managing site teams, subcontractors, plant and resources.
