Job summary

Tech Search Solutions is seeking a Site Agent for a major civils infrastructure project in Cambridge. You will manage day-to-day site delivery, coordinating with the Project Manager, engineers and subcontractors to keep programmes on track.

The role requires strong highways experience, SMSTS/CSCS, First Aid and a full UK driving licence, with a view to long-term progression towards Senior Site Agent/Project Manager as work grows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day works on site in coordination with the Project Manager, engineering team and subcontractors.
• Oversee highways, drainage, earthworks and utilities packages.
• Manage site operations and short-term programme.
• Coordinate engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Drive health & safety and quality on site.
• Plan works and manage short-term programmes.
• Prepare RAMS, permits and site documentation.
• Manage interfaces between different work packages.
• Keep an eye on programme, costs and productivity.
• Lead client meetings and progress reporting.
• Identify and resolve issues before delivery is impacted.

Site Agent - Civils Infrastructure

Location: Cambridge | Permanent

We're working with an established civil engineering contractor who is looking to bring an experienced Site Agent into the team for a major infrastructure project in the Cambridge area.

The scheme involves a good mix of highways, Section 278 works, roads, drainage, earthworks and associated infrastructure, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable managing busy civils packages and keeping things moving on site.

The Role

As Site Agent, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the works, working closely with the Project Manager, engineering team, subcontractors and commercial team.

You’ll be involved in:

• Managing highways and Section 278 works
• Overseeing roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities
• Managing site operations and programme
• Coordinating engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
• Driving health & safety and quality on site
• Planning works and managing short-term programmes
• RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Managing interfaces between different work packages
• Keeping an eye on programme, costs and productivity
• Client meetings and progress reporting
• Identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally come from a civil engineering / highways background, with solid experience delivering Section 278 works and infrastructure projects.

Experience across highways, Section 278 works, roads, drainage, earthworks, utilities and general infrastructure would be ideal.

Previous experience working as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent for a recognised civil engineering contractor would be a strong advantage.
