Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Site Agent (Civil Infrastructure) for permanent work across Teesside's highways and public realm projects. You will lead on-site operations, manage RAMS, and drive delivery under NEC frameworks.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification or substantial civils experience, SMSTS, CSCS (Gold/Black) and a clean UK driving licence. A long-term pipeline under NEPO is highlighted.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or 10 years heavy civils experience).
• SMSTS and CSCS Card (Gold/Black) are required.
• Clean or low-point UK Driving Licence is preferred.
• Experience delivering local authority highways, public realm or civil schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations on highways and public realm schemes across Teesside.
• Develop RAMS, manage 3-week lookahead plans and drive NEC-based delivery.
• Coordinate ground teams and manage subcontractors to meet programme.

Permanent Position

Location - Teesside / North East (Guisborough, Saltburn, Redcar)

Salary - Up to £62,000 + £7k car allowance

Are you a Site Agent with a solid background in local authority highways schemes looking to lead multi-million-pound public realm and infrastructure projects across Teesside?

We at Randstad are seeking a Site Agent to lead daily operations across regional highways, cycle lane infrastructure, and public realm improvements (£2.5m - £6m schemes) for a premier Tier-1 Main Contractor with top-tier NEPO framework status. As the Site Agent, you will be running site ground teams, developing RAMS, managing 3-week lookaheads, and driving delivery under NEC contract frameworks.

The successful candidate will have:

• HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering (or minimum 10 years heavy civils experience)
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card (minimum Gold or Black)
• Clean or low-point UK Driving Licence
• Proven track record delivering local authority highways, public realm, cycleways, or civil engineering schemes (£100k-£5m+)
• Solid operational knowledge of RAMS, CPPs, NEC contracts, weekly programming, and subcontractor management

Desirable:

• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification
