Job summary

Run Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Site Agent to lead a new project at Port of Dover, Kent. The role covers demolition, groundworks, drainage and externals, with marine civils work and large concrete structures anticipated later in the programme.

The ideal candidate has a clear progression path from Site Engineer through Sub Agent or Senior Site Agent, with familiarity in NEC contracts and strong health and safety oversight.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering civils projects on site.
• Progression from Site Engineer to Sub Agent or Senior Site Agent is preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Write risk assessments and method statements.
• Support engineering with long- and short-term programmes.
• Manage change with the commercial team (EWN/NEC).
• Take overall responsibility for health and safety on site.
• Oversee design quality and overall project quality.
• Ensure deadlines are met by controlling the programme.

Job description

We're recruiting a Site Agent for a large multi-disciplined contractor in the South East. Following several project awards starting later this year, and in early 2027 it's a great time to cement yourself in a business which has a secure workload and ambitious growth plans in the region. The business has a regional office in Kent and continues to win work at the Port of Dover specialising in marine and heavy civils work, as well as other projects in the county for local authorities and private developers/clients - these projects range from £4m - £30m.

The Site Agent will join the start of a new project at the work at Port of Dover, comprising of a demolition, groundworks, drainage and externals. Following this, they will be involved in a large scale marine project with large concrete structures, piling and associated civils work running well into 2028.

Experience of working in the marine sector is favourable (not essential) and we expect an Agent to have demonstrated a clear route of progression through Site Engineer > Sub Agent roles. If you are an experienced Sub Agent or Senior Site Agent, please apply.

Site Agent Duties:

• Writing risk assessments and method statements
• Supporting the engineering team with long-term and short programmes
• Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN (NEC Contract)
• Overall responsibility of health and safety
• Managing design and quality of the project
• Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
