Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Sub Agent / Site Agent for a major Civils and Rail project near Bourton-on-the-Water. You will support the Project Manager delivering on time, within budget and with strict safety and quality standards.

The role involves day and night shifts on a circa £10m works, with a dedicated site team and Works Manager, and an opportunity to lead safe systems of work on site.

Qualifications

• Experience on civil engineering projects essential.
• Rail sector project experience preferred.
• PTS, CSCS and SMSTS cards required.
• Degree or equivalent in construction discipline.
• Proven site management and technical abilities.
• Strong organisational and management skills.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans and briefing sheets.

Job description

My client is a Leading, Tier 1 Construction Company.

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Sub Agent / Site Agent to join their Civil Engineering business working initially on a circa £10m Civils and Rail Project in the Bourton-On-The-Water area.

In support of the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project, and have responsibility to ensure health, safety, environmental & quality compliance as well as programme and budget requirements.

You will be closely supported by a dedicated site team and a very experienced Works Manager.

Due to the nature of this project, the successful individual will be required to work a mixture of day and night shifts with the latter attracting a sizeable rate uplift.

This is a long-term contract opportunity with an estimated duration of 9-12 months.

Requirements

• Experience of civil engineering projects
• Ideally experience of working on rail sector projects
• PTS, CSCS and SMSTS required
• A degree or equivalent in a construction related discipline
• Proven technical and site management abilities in the Built environment
• Strong organisational and management skills
• Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
• Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
• Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
