Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Signage Coordinator to own and manage the group’s central signage catalogue, ensure compliance with BPA regulations, and maintain accurate material specifications and version histories. You will liaise with Legal, Compliance and Project Delivery teams to approve complex sign solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous Experience of working in a similar Project Coordinator/Management role is essential.
• Proficient with job-management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Computer literate with experience of using project management tools.
• The ability to read, understand and translate technical drawings for installation purposes.
• Must be able to work on their own initiative as well as supporting our other busy divisions
• Experience of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads for self and others.

Responsibilities

• Catalogue & Technical Ownership: Own and maintain the central controlled signage catalogue-managing approved sign types, layouts, legal wording, material specifications, and version histories to prevent obsolete items from being ordered.
• Compliance & Legal Alignment: Apply working knowledge of the BPA Code of Practice, statutory legislation, and site contracts to ensure correct legal and operational wording; liaise with Legal and Compliance teams for complex or non-standard sign approvals.
• Order Specification & Proof Sign-Off: Review installation requests to determine exact sign types, fixings, dimensions, and overlays. Take full responsibility for checking, approving, and signing off supplier production proofs before manufacturing begins.
• Bespoke Project Support: Partner with Project Delivery Managers on complex or custom sites-producing compliant artwork, managing production requirements, and coordinating on-time deliveries.
• Quality & Version Control: Conduct rigorous multi-stage checks to eliminate errors, manage change notifications to suppliers, and audit completed installations against original site plans.
• Systems, Readiness & Cost Control: Keep accurate, auditable records in Freshservice; confirm job readiness with the Installation team; and minimise waste through effective use of overlays and standardized specifications.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Legal teams, and suppliers to deliver compliant, error-free signage solutions.
• Sign off signage artwork proofs before production.
• Preparing project specifications
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Take ownership and maintain the group's central signage catalogue.
• Act as the signage main point of contact internally for the group.
• Review and develop signage briefs.
• Monitor project costs and profitability.
• Ensure all signage and branding are fully compliant to current British Parking Association (BPA) regulations and legal standards.
• Act as our technical subject matter expert for all car park signage, overlays and material specifications.
• Manage all deadlines for relevant contracts and communicate to the various teams involved.
• Manage multiple signage projects simultaneously.
