Job summary

Waitrose Wokingham is seeking a committed Security Officer to safeguard customers and colleagues, deter crime and maintain a secure store environment. You will patrol the store, monitor CCTV, and report any incidents with accuracy using the SMART system.

The role requires a valid SIA license, flexibility for a full-time shift pattern, and a proactive, customer-focused approach to security in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Five-year check-able employment/education history required.
• Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking.
• Experience delivering customer service in a hurry-fast environment.
• Capable in using technology and reporting systems.
• SIA licences (Frontline/Security) or related training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Protect customers and colleagues from abuse and deter violence.
• Deter theft and monitor for security breaches in-store.
• Patrol store and other areas as directed by site instructions.
• Record incidents clearly using the SMART system and inform management.
• Complete CCTV monitoring and tagging checks as required.
• Report incidents by end of shift and wear CCTV equipment per policy.
