Job summary

First Bus in Lowestoft is seeking a Shunter/Cleaner to join our depot team. You will work 39 hours per week, on shifts from 4pm to 00:30am, and earn £13.41 per hour. A valid UK driving license is essential to be considered for this role.

You will fuel and shunt vehicles, perform undercarriage and exterior cleaning with a pressure washer, manage oil/water top ups, and assist with general site maintenance. Training is provided, with rewards including health plans and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK driving license to be considered for this role.
• Flexible approach to working hours is desired.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
• Experience with pressure washers or bus washing is beneficial; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and shunting vehicles around the depot ready for shift or next clean.
• Carry out vehicle under chassis washing, including exterior cleaning using a pressure washer.
• Ensure oil and water top ups are carried out as required.
• Carry out other cleaning duties and general site maintenance as and when required.
• Record details of all work and accurately complete necessary sheets/record cards.

About The Role – Shunter/Cleaner

Do you want to be part of our energetic team of Cleaners, Engineers and maintenance staff that look after our fleet of vehicles at our Lowestoft depot?

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Fuelling and shunting vehicles around the depot ready for shift or next clean
• Carry out vehicle under chassis washing, including exterior cleaning using a pressure washer
• To ensure that the oil and water and top ups are carried out as required
• Carry out other cleaning duties and general site maintenance as and when required
• To record details of all work done and accurately complete any necessary sheets/record cards

Location: Lowestoft - NR32 1UZ

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – shifts 4pm-00:30am 5 days over 7

Pay Rate: £13.41 per hour

About You

• You must hold a valid UK driving license to be considered for this role
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• Do you have previous cleaning experience?
• Previous experience with pressure washers and/or bus washing would be beneficial, however training will be provided
