Job summary

FirstGroup plc in Leicester is seeking a Nightshift Bus Cleaner/Shunter to maintain cleanliness of the fleet at the Abbey Lane Depot. You will work the night shift from 21:00 to 05:30 with an early finish once per week, ensuring both interior and exterior cleaning duties are completed to standard.

The role requires a valid UK driving license and offers full-time, permanent employment with overtime paid. The site operates with a 39-hour minimum week and a 5-days-a-week schedule, supporting smooth

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid UK driving license to be considered for this role.
• Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
• Do you have previous cleaning experience?
• Bus driving experience would be beneficial, a PCV license is not required as you will not be driving buses outside of the depot grounds

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior vehicle cleaning duties including a monthly deep clean routine across all vehicles
• Vehicle under chassis and wheel cleaning using a pressure washer
• Fuelling/charging vehicles when required
• Shunting and parking vehicles ready for the next days service (full training provided)
• Recording details of all work completed accurately

Key Details:

• £15.51 per hour
• £31,454 per annum
• Overtime paid at £17.57 per hour
• 39 hours minimum per week
• 5 days over 7
• 21:00pm-05:30am (with an early finish one shift per week)
• Full time & permanent
