Job summary

Motorvogue Group in Northampton is seeking a hands-on Sales Controller/Assistant Sales Manager to drive daily showroom performance. You will be on the floor, structure deals, mentor the sales team and ensure a first-class customer experience.

The role covers running the showroom, closing deals, managing forecourt standards and supporting colleagues to maximise margins. Expect 5.5 day weeks, competitive benefits including a company car and pension.

Responsibilities

• Running the Sales Floor: Manage showroom activity day-to-day; support sales executives in closing deals; second facing customers when required; maintain energy and urgency on the floor; ensure customers are never left waiting.
• Deal Stacking & Profit Control: Structure deals to maximise margin; support negotiation with customers; explore finance, part exchange and add-on opportunities; prevent deals that damage gross profit.
• Closing Deals: Second facing customers when required; support less experienced sales executives; ensure customers leave with a positive experience.
• Forecourt & Showroom Standards: Ensure vehicles are clean, correctly priced and well positioned; keep showroom customer-ready.
• Supporting the Sales Team: Ensure enquiries and leads are followed up; keep team active and focused; support development of newer team members; maintain a motivated and professional sales environment.
• What Good Looks Like: Showroom floor well managed and active; deals profitable and well structured; customers receive professional engagement; site presentation is right; team focused on converting opportunities.
