Sue Ryder Care in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Shop Assistant to join our charity retail team. You’ll support your manager and colleagues, help drive income, and champion our brand while delivering friendly, practical service in-store.

This 15-hour-per-week role covers 2–3 shifts (including Saturdays), with shifts starting at 8.45am and most days finishing by 5.15pm. Benefits include holiday entitlement, staff discounts and opportunities to contribute to local fundraising and community impact.

Responsibilities

• As Shop Assistant you will use your retail skills to help drive sales and performance against targets.
• Provide excellent service to customers and donors.
• Help build strong community relationships to generate quality donated stock.
• Support in maintaining high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Support in stock management and EPOS processes to keep the shop fresh and well presented.
• Champion the Sue Ryder brand through in-store campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
