Job summary

Sue Ryder Care in Shipley is seeking a part-time Shop Assistant to help create a well-presented shop where customers receive great service. You will sort and size stock, assist with purchases and often move stock, which may involve lifting heavy goods.

The role supports campaigns and community fundraising while maintaining shop standards. The position is 15 hours per week across 2–3 days, including weekends, with a fixed-term maternity cover.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills in a busy retail environment.
• Comfortable lifting/moving stock and helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Sort and size stock and assist customers with purchases.
• Help maximise donated income through stock generation and pricing decisions.
• Maintain high merchandising standards and health and safety practices.
