Job summary

Sue Ryder operates a network of charity shops; this Shop Assistant role supports the management and team to drive income and provide excellent service to customers and donors in Cheltenham. You will help with merchandising, stock control and EPOS processes while representing the Sue Ryder brand.

The position is 22.5 hours per week on a rota including weekends, with pay at £12.71 per hour. Benefits include pension, holidays and staff discounts as listed in the ad.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is essential.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of rota.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, income and performance against targets.
• Provide excellent service to customers and donors.
• Help build community relationships to generate donated stock.
• Maintain high merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Manage stock and EPOS processes to keep shop well presented.
• Champion the Sue Ryder brand and fundraising initiatives.
• Demonstrate motivation to learn and develop while helping others.
