Rennie Grove Peace Hospice in Bourne End is seeking a part-time Shop Manager to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience and to engage and lead shop volunteers. You will operate the shop efficiently, maximise sales and profitability, motivate volunteers, and uphold excellent customer care.

You will oversee daily running when the manager is away and promote the hospice's values. Candidates should be over 18 after education, have the right to work in the UK, and be comfortable with manual handling;

• Manual handling and/or heavy lifting may be required.
• DBS check (Enhanced) may be applicable to this role.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that customers have an enjoyable shopping experience and to engage and lead shop volunteers.

What you'll do:

• Effectively and efficiently operating the shop and all its resources in accordance with the guidance and instruction provided by senior management.
• Maximising sales and profitability of the shop.
• Engaging and motivating the team of shop volunteers.
• Providing and inspiring excellence in customer care.
• Overseeing the daily running of the shop on the Manager's days off.
• Acting as a Rennie Grove Peace ambassador, actively demonstrating our values and positively promoting the specialist care we provide.

Applications are welcome from candidates who are over 18 after completing full time education at school or college, or an apprenticeship.

Manual handling and/or heavy lifting is required for this role.

Comfortable working alone once fully trained.
