Job summary

Confidential in the Cullompton area is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to manage daily shipping activities and ensure timely dispatch of customer orders. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, on a temporary-to-permanent basis with a £28,000–£29,000 salary depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have shipping or logistics experience, export experience, and be proficient with Excel, Outlook and ERP systems, with strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate with customers,

• Export experience is essential.
• Proficient IT skills with Excel and ERP systems.

Are you highly organised, detail-focused and adept at managing daily operations efficiently? We are seeking a proactive Shipping Coordinator to manage all shipping activities, ensuring the prompt despatch and delivery of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments, collections and deliveries to consistently uphold service standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation and records, ensuring they are current and compliant.
• Monitor deliveries and swiftly resolve any transport-related issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, warehouse and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Support inventory control processes and ensure adherence to all relevant shipping regulations.

Person Specification

• Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and ERP systems.
• Previous experience in shipping or logistics is preferred.
• Export experience is essential.
• Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment.
