Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a proactive Shipper/Sales Coordinator to join the National Customer Support Centre. You will coordinate orders, respond to inquiries, and drive sales opportunities while ensuring high-quality service for a designated region.

You will work closely with Area Sales Managers and internal teams to optimise order fulfilment and customer care, contributing to growth and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
• The confidence to build relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience of SAP (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Manage and action daily call plans.
• Receive, process, and coordinate customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, price, and process quotations.
• Identify opportunities to add value to every customer interaction.
• Proactively pursue sales leads and support business growth.
• Build strong working relationships with Area Sales Managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Resolve customer queries and issues within agreed service levels.
• Maintain high standards of customer care in line with the Heidelberg Materials Service Charter.
• Support the wider team and contribute to the smooth running of the National Customer Support Centre.
• Undertake additional duties as required by your manager.
