Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a proactive Shipper/Sales Coordinator to join the National Customer Support Centre in Banbury. You will coordinate orders, quote customers, and drive sales opportunities while delivering exceptional service.

The role requires strong numeracy, IT skills (Excel/Word), organisational ability, and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
• The confidence to build relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience of SAP (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Manage and action daily call plans.
• Receive, process, and coordinate customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, price, and process quotations.
• Identify opportunities to add value to every customer interaction.
• Proactively pursue sales leads and support business growth.
• Build strong working relationships with Area Sales Managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Resolve customer queries and issues within agreed service levels.
• Maintain high standards of customer care in line with the Heidelberg Materials Service Charter.
• Support the wider team and contribute to the smooth running of the National Customer Support Centre.
• Undertake additional duties as required by your manager.
