The Ship Manager, Marine Technical Operations role at Royal Caribbean Group is based in Weybridge, UK. You will drive the interface between shoreside MT Operations and the shipboard management team to ensure safe, compliant and efficient vessel operation.

With 5-10 years in the shipping sector and a naval architecture or related engineering background, you will manage budgets, pursue performance improvements, oversee newbuild/repair processes and coordinate with yards and regulators.

Qualificações

• Educational background: naval architecture or marine/mechanical engineering with a bachelor7s degree.
• Experience: 5-10 years with a shipping company or cruise line; Chief Engineer experience desirable.
• Financial management: ability to manage operating budgets and costs.
• Disciplinary process: experience coaching and counselling to improve performance.

Responsabilidades

• Operational management: ensure safe, compliant and efficient operation of assigned vessels.
• Compliance: ensure vessels follow relevant regulations and standards.
• Budget management: oversee daily OPEX with focus on repairs, consumables and hotel tech costs.
• Safety and environmental compliance: implement and monitor initiatives to meet legal requirements.
• Performance monitoring: review fleet metrics; identify improvements and drive actions.
• Newbuilding: oversee guaranties and claims handling with yards for assigned vessels.
• Stakeholder communication: maintain relations with management, regulators, customers, and other departments.
• Project management: participate in fleet-related projects ensuring timely completion.
