Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent maritime qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of electric propulsion and underwater mechanical systems, incl. ABB Azipod platforms (XO/VO).
• Experience in fleet technical management, dry‑dock execution, and budget oversight.
• Familiarity with high‑power propulsion (10–22 MW) and azimuthing pods on cruise/ferry/offshore vessels.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for underwater propulsion systems fleetwide.
• Provide expert guidance to shoreside and onboard technical teams.
• Monitor propulsion performance and coordinate repairs/overhauls.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee dry‑dock activities for podded propulsion.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and fleet‑wide lessons learned.
• Deliver first‑and‑second‑level support for safe vessel operations.
• Manage budgets, spares, and long‑term service agreements.
• Oversee underwater system capital projects and CARs.
