Job summary

The Billington Group is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation at our Scunthorpe site. You will supervise and develop the team, ensure the daily production plan is met, and drive efficiency, safety and quality standards in a fast-paced food production environment.

Responsibilities include start-up/shut-down procedures, coordinating with departments, and maintaining OTIF targets while promoting a right-first-time culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in warehousing or logistics.
• Experience managing and developing a busy warehouse workforce.
• Proficient with ERP systems and data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the shift team to achieve daily production plans.
• Maximise efficiency, minimise downtime and maximise throughput.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and quality standards across the area.
• Oversee start-up and shutdown procedures and break controls.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet OTIF targets.
• Manage performance and support development of staff.
• Communicate issues with plant, people and quality clearly.
