Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Warehouse Team Manager for the night shift to lead a fast-paced warehouse and ensure safety, accuracy and timely despatch of goods. You will coach and develop colleagues, monitor performance with KPIs, allocate workloads and drive continuous improvement across operations, collaborating with Transport and other teams to maintain high service levels.

This role suits a proactive leader who can manage resources, uphold health and safety standards and keep service excellence

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics or operational environment.
• Passion for developing and motivating people.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with performance measures and operational KPIs.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Good IT skills and using operational systems.
• Ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Strong focus on safety, service and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a warehouse team to achieve targets.
• Monitor performance and use KPI data to drive improvements.
• Allocate workloads to maximise productivity and meet service targets.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure health and environmental standards.
• Manage recruitment, absence, performance and team development.
• Lead team briefings and communicate key business updates.
• Investigate issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work with Warehouse, Transport and Operations teams to deliver service.
• Manage resources, equipment and warehouse assets effectively.
