Forth Ports in Tilbury seeks an experienced Shift Operations Manager to lead the CCEP shift operation on 26 Berth, Tilbury. You will provide decisive leadership, drive safe and efficient operations, and ensure customer service excellence across shifts.

You will plan labour, manage costs, coach Supervisors, and oversee facilities while actively delivering continuous improvement. You will act as the responsible site lead outside hours, balance safety with performance, and build strong

Qualifications

• Experience leading shift teams in warehousing, logistics or terminal operations.
• Strong people management and coaching skills with a track record of setting clear expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to control labour costs and optimise resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, service and performance targets across shifts.
• Plan labour, skills coverage and equipment availability to meet demand.
• Coach Shift Supervisors and maintain consistent leadership across shifts.
• Oversee facilities, plant and equipment, report defects and risks.
• Maintain training matrix and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Act as site lead outside normal hours and make timely decisions.
• Review daily plans in response to priorities and risks.
• Resolve customer queries and escalate issues as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement of storage strategy, space, flow and productivity.
