Forth Ports Group in Tilbury seeks a seasoned Shift Operations Manager to lead the CCEP shift operation at 26 Berth, Tilbury. You will report to the Operations Manager, delivering clear leadership, tactical direction and accountability across shifts to ensure safety, efficiency and top-tier customer service.

You will drive planning, resource utilisation and continuous improvement across safety, service and cost while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced warehousing/logistics/terminal operations.
• Proven coaching and development of staff with clear performance expectations.
• Budgeting and cost-control experience across labour and resources.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily/weekly safety, service and performance targets.
• Plan labour, skills, and plant availability to meet demand.
• Control overtime, agency use and absences to manage costs.
• Coach Shift Supervisors and raise standards across shifts.
• Monitor facilities, equipment and defects; report risks promptly.
• Maintain and escalate the shift training matrix and compliance.
