Tata Steel UK is seeking a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our engineering team in Corby. The role involves rotating shifts (days, lates, nights) and working within a multi-skilled shift team to maintain plant machinery and ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or Level 3 qualification (BTEC/C&G/NVQ) required.
• Experience in heavy industrial maintenance and safety standards.
• Experience in both reactive and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Maintain efficiency of machinery and uphold HSE standards.
• Manage spares/inventory to minimise downtime.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and carry out maintenance activities.
• Record all maintenance in the MMS system.
• Contribute to reducing life-cycle costs of assets.
