Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Alfreton, Derbyshire is seeking a Shift Fitter to join our block manufacturing site. You will perform day-to-day maintenance on production machinery, with a mix of planned preventative and reactive tasks, across days and nights.

The role requires practical mechanical experience in heavy industry, familiarity with CMMS, and the ability to work self-motivated while communicating well with colleagues. IOSH is a plus, welding or pipefitting welcome.

Qualifications

• Day-to-day maintenance on production machinery with planned preventative and reactive tasks.
• Record all work on the site CMMS system to ensure traceability.
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment is essential; welding/pipefitting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on production plant.
• Record all maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
• Work across a block manufacturing site, coordinating with shift teams.
