Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking a committed Shift Manager to support the management team and deliver consistent results in store. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

You will work to maximise profit, ensure great product availability, and drive sales while supporting an inclusive, development‑minded team culture through proactive leadership and example.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit by ensuring great product availability for customers.
• Sell a £1 & save a £1 to drive sales and achieve store targets.
• Deliver on actions set by the line manager.
• Support Talking Shop Rep and team engagement to foster inclusive culture.
• Follow cash handling and security policies and implement ‘One Best Way’ processes.
