Job summary

DPD UK in Warrington is recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations management. You will work closely with our Owner Drivers and Employed Drivers, building strong relationships and keeping the team engaged and motivated to ensure outstanding service.

You will drive depot targets for Core Routes and Stops Per Route, set and monitor delivery and collection routes, ensure drivers scan and load safely, maintain open communications, allocate resources for ad-hoc

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience.
• Strong communication skills to inspire, motivate and manage a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making and time management abilities.
• Analytical reporting and data analysis are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved.
• Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved.
• Set and verify delivery/collection routes.
• Ensure drivers scan and load vans safely and efficiently.
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues.
• Allocate resources to cover ad-hoc collections via drivers or couriers.
• Complete relevant documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
• Work to KPIs including Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health & Safety.
• Achieve Depot Clear in line with targets.
