Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Shift Manager for the Bicester site to lead day-to-day operations, drive performance, and manage a 24-hour operation across five days per week. You will foster teamwork, ensure KPI delivery, and maintain high safety and quality standards while coordinating with the Site Lead.

Experience in logistics or warehouse operations, WMS knowledge (JDA/RedPrairie advantageous), and strong people leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience managing logistics or warehouse operations in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems; JDA/RedPrairie experience is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with conflict-resolution ability.
• Demonstrated ability to meet operational targets and drive improvements.
• Understanding of warehouse processes including stock management, picking, loading, and workflows.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safe practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Warehouse Front Line Managers and drive day-to-day performance.
• Manage stock integrity, productivity, facilities, and resources for smooth operations.
• Monitor KPIs and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Plan and communicate operational requirements to meet customer and business expectations.
• Build strong customer relationships while managing budgets and costs.
• Oversee workforce performance, coaching, and development through reviews.
• Promote teamwork, safety, and adherence to procedures to maintain compliance.
