Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer for a FMCG manufacturing site in the Grays/Thurrock area. The role covers both electrical and mechanical maintenance on production lines, with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate will be multiskilled with strong problem-solving abilities and experience in fast-paced manufacturing. OC/Ex experience in plastics extrusion is a plus; salary is circa £50k with benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in FMCG setting.
• Troubleshoot and identify faults.
• Diagnose and rectify machinery issues to reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
• Collaborate with production team to drive continuous improvement.
• Apply technical knowledge to resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain high standards.

Location: Grays, Thurrock

Hours: 12 Hour Shifts - 4 Days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are multiskilled and have worked in fast paced industrial factory environments.

Key Responsibilities of the Shift Maintenance Engineer:
