Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer for night shifts in Andover, Hampshire. You will carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment to maximise uptime and reliability.

The role involves fault finding, preventative maintenance, and data analysis to improve OEE, with opportunities for progression and an annual bonus and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced factory setting (planned, reactive and breakdown).
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
• Fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime.
• Support continuous improvement and carry out RCA; record downtime and maintenance data for OEE.

Job Title: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Nights)

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Salary: £54,000 (including shift allowance) + annual bonus + excellent benefits

Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday PERM NIGHTS

Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment—ensuring maximum uptime, reliability and performance on nights.

Sector – Factory Maintenance (Food/FMCG Manufacturing)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory
• Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias)

Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (single phase / three phase)
• Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings
• Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics
• Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO / Lock-off Tag-out) and H&S standards
• Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Comfortable recording/analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE
