Job summary

Henderson Brown Recruitment is supporting a food manufacturer to appoint a skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will provide both electrical and mechanical support across the site, combining hands-on maintenance with continuous improvement to minimise downtime and optimise performance. Location: North Lincolnshire.

Salary: £52,222.36 (£60,000 OTE). Shift pattern: 2 nights/2 days/2 off. The ideal candidate will be electrically biased or multiskilled, with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds and PLC

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Engineering Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Engineer).
• Formal qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds).
• Experience in fast paced industries such as food, packaging or wider FMCG.
• Good problem solving skills and a clear understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
• Confident in PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of manufacturing equipment used in FMCG production whilst complying with health and safety requirements.
• Perform both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on minimising downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Conduct fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systems.
