Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer for a FMCG manufacturing site in the Grays/Thurrock area. The role covers both electrical and mechanical maintenance on production lines, with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate will be multiskilled with strong problem-solving abilities and experience in fast-paced manufacturing. OC/Ex experience in plastics extrusion is a plus; salary is circa £50k with benefits.

Qualifications

Multiskilled maintenance experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
Electrical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, 18th Edition or equivalent) preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in FMCG setting.
Troubleshoot and identify faults.
Diagnose and rectify machinery issues to reduce downtime and improve production efficiency.
Collaborate with production team to drive continuous improvement.
Apply technical knowledge to resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems.
Follow health and safety regulations and maintain high standards.
