Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a state‑of‑the‑art FMCG factory in Somerset. You will carry out electrical maintenance, fault‑finding and planned maintenance on fully automated production and packaging machinery to maximise uptime in a high‑volume environment.

The ideal candidate has industrial maintenance experience, hands‑on with pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance, and can work a 4 on 4 off shift (days and nights).

• You will perform pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• You must be able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault‑finding, and planned preventative maintenance on a range of fully automated production and packaging machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency in a high‑volume FMCG environment.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

• Maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast‑paced industrial factory.
• Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).

Requirements

• Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
• Experience working within an FMCG or high‑speed manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience on homogenisers, VTIS pasteurisers, high speed aseptic filling machines, liquid food products. MUST
