Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Shift Leader to join our store team. You will oversee duty shifts, coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store and ensure excellent customer service. You'll lead from the front, support colleagues, and help improve service while maintaining safe store operations.

We offer 16 guaranteed hours per week (minimum 12 with opportunities), the role starts at £15.59 per hour with additional payments depending on location, and a flexible, inclusive working environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the store team to deliver a smooth shopping experience for customers.
• Open and close the store and manage duty cover.
• Be the go-to person when managers are absent.
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-presented.
• Support managers with seasonal and community events.
• Deliver great customer service by listening to customers first.
• Keep the team informed about updates and changes.
• Monitor store performance and implement improvements.
