Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking a Shift Leader to manage duties on the shop floor and lead a diverse team. You will oversee shift coverage, ensure excellent customer service, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store. The role offers progression opportunities within a fast-paced retail environment.

We offer a starting rate of £15.59 per hour with additional payments depending on location, and a minimum weekly hours guarantee with options for reduced hours if desired. 18+ required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Minimum guaranteed 16 hours per week; option to work as few as 12 hours.
• Experience working in fast-paced retail preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with variety.
• Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinating the team.
• Provide excellent customer service so shoppers leave with what they came for.
• Coach colleagues and give feedback to improve service.
• Lead from the front and set a positive example for the team.
• Assist managers to run store operations and safety procedures.
• Support holiday, seasonal, and community events as needed.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented store and communicate changes promptly.
