Job summary

Tesco Shift Lead role puts customers at the centre of everything we do in our stores. You’ll lead a small team, work across departments, and ensure great service in a fast-paced setting.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with shifts from 12 hours in some locations, and pay starts at £15.59 per hour (rising to £16.86 in M25 stores). You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day operations, coach colleagues, and help create an inclusive, supportive environment while delivering a high

Qualifications

• Over 18 years of age.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong service orientation and customer focus.
• Clear communicator who informs the team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver a great in-store customer experience.
• Work across store areas and support daily operations.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships among colleagues.
• Lead the store in the Manager’s absence when required.
• Make balanced decisions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Coach colleagues, give feedback, and model great service.
• Identify opportunities to improve service to customers and the community.
