Job summary

Orwell Housing Association is seeking a dedicated care leader for Beaumont House, Walton-on-the-Naze. You will lead and support the care team during shifts, plan rosters and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly while championing high-quality, person-centred care.

You will foster relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals and oversee medication processes to maintain safe, compassionate care. Training and DBS checks are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting older and vulnerable adults in a care setting.
  • Knowledge of end-of-life care and person-centred support.
  • Understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards.
  • Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
  • Genuine passion for supporting people and developing others.

Job description

Lead with Compassion. Make a Difference Every Day.

This role is based on a 3-week rolling rota, working an average of 4 days per week. Contracted hours will be made up of:

2 x 7-hour shifts

2 x 12-hour shifts

What You'll Do

Working alongside the Team Leaders and Service Manager, you will:

  • Lead, motivate and support the care team during shifts.
  • Assist with rota planning and day-to-day service operations.
  • Champion high-quality, person-centred care and best practice.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Complete medication audits, competency assessments and care observations.
  • Support safe medication ordering, collection and administration.
  • Help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment for customers.
About You

You’ll have:

About Beaumont House…

Beaumont House is in Walton-on-the-Naze on the old Martello Caravan Park. This small historical coastal town is popular with birdwatchers and is also an interesting area with buildings dating back to medieval times.
