Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Shift Leader to join our store team in the United Kingdom. You will step up in the absence of the store leadership team, taking responsibility for safe, legal and effective running of the store with a practical, “sleeves rolled up” mindset.

On shift you’ll lead a team, coach colleagues, and ensure the store delivers outstanding customer service while maintaining stock, standards and safe working practices. This role offers genuine career progression within Morrisons.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a team on a busy shop floor.
• Strong customer focus and service orientation.
• Attention to detail in stock, standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift and support colleagues to deliver excellent store performance.
• Open and close the store, ensuring security and safe operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Monitor stock levels, rotation and merchandising to maximise sales.
• Drive operational readiness and respond to unexpected changes on shift.
