Job summary

Forterra Plc in Kirton seeks a Shift Manager to lead production on site, drive KPIs and safety, and optimise labour and materials. You will oversee shift teams, implement improvements and keep costs within budget while achieving quality targets.

The role requires stepping in for the Production Manager when needed and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, energy efficiency and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing supervision and team leadership.
• Ability to manage KPIs and maintain safety standards.
• Strong communication and problem solving across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage a team to deliver plant activities safely and efficiently.
• Oversee Health & Safety compliance and meet legislative requirements.
• Develop improvements to capabilities and competencies of staff.
• Deputise for the Production Manager when required.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and energy use.
