Job summary

Forterra Building Products Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader for the Desford site. You will lead the on-shift maintenance team, coordinating electrical and mechanical activities to minimise downtime and keep production safe and compliant.

You will drive TPM/PPM tasks, oversee reporting through CMMS, and deputise for the Shift Manager as needed while ensuring adherence to site safety policies and continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications

• Requires formal education or qualification in electrical maintenance.
• Experience leading a maintenance team on shift.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and automated equipment.
• Proven fault diagnosis in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift maintenance team and coordinate activities.
• Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Report on shift activities and maintenance metrics.
• Coordinate TPM/PPM tasks and spare parts management.
• Act as deputy for the Shift Manager when required.
