Job summary

Tesco PLC in Watford is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise store colleagues, deliver great customer experiences, and keep daily operations running smoothly.

Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at 15.59 per hour, rising to 16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks notice of your shifts.

You will be responsible for

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Managers absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
