Job summary

Caffè Nero in Newbury is seeking a Shift Leader to run store shifts, lead the team by example and ensure outstanding service for every customer. No prior coffee experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, with real opportunities to grow within the business.

You’ll deliver great service in-store and during deliveries, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and help create a personalised customer experience on every visit.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader is ideal.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a café environment.
• Ability to lead by example and support the team.

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special!
  From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.

The starter rate for Shift Leaders in this location is £12.76 per hour, increasing to £12.91 with service.
