Job summary

Caffè Nero is hiring a Shift Leader to help run store shifts, mentor teammates and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will lead by example, ensure quality drinks and a personalised customer experience, and keep the cafe clean and safe for staff and customers. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and leading a small team is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• No coffee experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead store shifts and guide team members by example.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and seasonal drinks with care.
• Deliver excellent customer service and personalised experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the front of house and back of house.

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special!
  From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.

The starter rate for Shift Leaders in this location is £12.76 per hour, increasing to £12.91 with service.
