Job summary

Caffè Nero is hiring a Shift Leader to oversee store operations and mentor the team. You will lead shifts, ensure high-quality coffee and drinks, and provide personalised customer service to every guest.

No coffee experience is required—full training is provided. You’ll grow professionally within a supportive team, with generous staff discounts and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and supervise the team by example.
• Prepare and serve coffee, matcha, and seasonal drinks with care.
• Deliver great service in-store and for deliveries with a personalised experience.
• Maintain clean, safe back‑of‑house and customer areas throughout shifts.

• Are charge of the shift, leading their team by example.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special!
  From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

To become a Shift Leader, ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.

The starter rate for Shift Leaders in this location is £12.76 per hour, increasing to £12.91 with service.
